Happy Tuesday, everyone! I had a great working weekend that included some really fun video-making. There are so many songs that I’ve written over the years that I’d like to share with you all, and I’m excited to start with one of my favorites, “Smoke.”
I wrote “Smoke” several years ago, and to this day I’m still not sick of playing it. Hope you enjoy it, and feel free to check out the lyrics below, too!
Smoke
Well it’s late
I’m as bored as can be
And I’m catching those daggers you’re chuckin’ at little ole me
And I’m laced
But not quite enough
I think I’ll roll you in paper then strike a match and take a puff
And I’ll ring you around
I’ll ring you around me
Like smoke
Well it’s true
Every word that you hear
Mmmhmm I’ve been ravaging Romeos and I’ve been doin’ it for years
And you’re cute
But that ain’t so rare
Oh and it’s nice you’re polite but to tell you the truth I don’t care
Cause I’ll ring you around
I’ll ring you around me
Like smoke
Won’t tell you that I will be good to you cause it’s a lie
Oh I tell ’em that I will be good to them every time
And then I ring ’em around
I ring ’em around
I ring ’em around me
I ring ’em around
And I’ll ring you around me
Like smoke
Like smoke
Like smoke
Like smoke.
